London Bridge
[edit]It is a popular misconception that London Bridge crosses the Colorado River. It actually crosses a canal. Rsduhamel 08:27, 24 Jan 2005 (UTC)
This is correct, and it is a man-made canal at that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.40.228.85 (talk) 03:49, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Why the redirect
[edit]Why the redirect from Lake Havasu City to Lake Havasu City, Arizona? Is there any other Lake Havasu City?

Please correct population / land value confusion
[edit]The article currently reads: Property values have skyrocketed in recent years as has the city's population, which has now surpassed $200,000 and reaching as high as $400,000.
What does this mean? How can a city's population be measured in dollars? I think the sentence should read either:
Property values have skyrocketed in recent years as has the city's population, which has now surpassed 200,000 and is reaching as high as 400,000.
or
The city's population has skyrocketed in recent years, as have property values, which now surpass $200,000 on average and reach as high as $400,000.
The reference has to be to property values, not population as the population is roughly 50000. I can attest that the property values are close to $400,000 on average. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.40.228.85 (talk) 03:48, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Only one way in and out?
[edit]There is only one way in and out of Lake Havasu City: via Arizona Route 95
While it's true that Arizona Route 95 is the only highway connecting to LHC, one can enter from either the north or the south and exit to either the north or the south. "One way in and out" sounds like a city at the end of a highway rather than one along a highway. Perhaps "Only one highway serves Lake Havasu City"? Lee Choquette (talk) 01:23, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Agreed, Arizona Highway 95 runs from the North to the South through Lake Havasu City. Although, technically, one could reach it from another route directly from California by boat. Havasu Landing is the California city directly west of Lake Havasu City across the Colorado River (which at this location is Lake Havasu). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.40.228.85 (talk) 03:51, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Proposed move of LHC dab page
[edit]I've proposed moving LHC to LHC (disambiguation) to allow LHC to redirect to Large Hadron Collider with an appropriate {{this}} transclusion. I'm notifying editors of each of the pages linked from the current dab page to help generate discussion from interested parties. The discussion can be found at Talk:LHC#Requested move. -- Mark Chovain 01:11, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Merging The Shops at Lake Havasu mall page with the main Lake Havasu City page
[edit]I feel that the mall page should not be merged as it is a large page. A link could be put on the LHC page to direct you to the mall page, however no merging should be done. User:Fast Racer 11:31, 17 May 2008
History section
[edit]The History section on this page is lacking in history. Robert McCullough didn't build a town with the idea that "if you build it, they will come". He marketed it. He put ads in newspapers all over the country - flew people here in his airplanes for free to stay at his hotel for free to look at (and buy) land shown by his real estate agents. There is also nothing about the original use of the Site Six facility. I haven't lived in Havasu for many years, but I recommend that someone with access to the LHC History Museum (next to the Chamber of Commerce) do the research there and add to this section. I moved there shortly before the original Bridge dedication in 1971 and have some stories, but they're just personal memories from the past - I don't think they count as a Wikipedia reference.

Shops under the london bridge
[edit]Should we put up a section about the english village, it's rise and it's current downfall. Since most shops now are closed due to the economy and now Lake Havasu City's oversized population. The population number should be updated if a newer value is available. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.117.148.12 (talk) 21:07, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
Climate
[edit]Where is the 132 degree July record high coming from? The historical climate data at the link provided indicates the hottest Lake Havasu City ever got was 128 degrees on June 29, 1994. The highest for July was 126, recorded July 26, 1998. I don't doubt that 132 degree temperatures may have been achieved, but with the data not showing any temperatures above 128, any such readings would be unofficial. The table should be edited to reflect the official historical data at http://www.wrcc.dri.edu/cgi-bin/cliMAIN.pl?az4761 68.2.107.144 (talk) 03:58, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
