[edit]Why on earth was this nominated for speedy deletion? Unknown band? Monolake has been around for at least 10 years, with a very extensive discography. Robert Henke is one of the most respected names within "intelligent dance music" circles. Unknown to Britney Spears fans, maybe, but certainly not to fans of the electronic music genre. --Sonance 08:58, 5 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- The person who put on the speedy-delete tag was a troll, and had been abusing various deletion tags that day. The article clearly never met the criteria for speedy delete, so I removed the tag (as did others with the troll's other foolish nominations). Said troll could always nominate the article for VfD (where a proper discussion would take part) but a one-minute google review tells me that would not succeed. Don't worry about it (shit happens). -- John Fader (talk · contribs) 13:40, 5 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for your support! I feel the Monolake page is relevant due to the close relations between Monolake and Ableton Live. While not universally accepted, Ableton Live is widely used in the electronic music scene. That page seems to be staying here, and this page complements it. Sucks about trolls. bneely 17:30, 12 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Disambiguation fix
[edit]Hi there. I came across this page when working on Wikipedia:Disambiguation pages with links. In this article, there is a wiki-link to the word "DUB", in paragraph #2, "Monolake's minimal, dub-influenced techno music helped establish ...". This link "DUB" goes to a disambiguation page with a LOT of options to choose from. It would be better if this link pointed right to the proper version of DUB, instead of the disambiguation page. I'm not sure which "DUB" is the right one,,, the reggae-inspired music one, or the 'techno mix' one (or something else). So, someone who knows about this band, please look at the disambiguation page, and fix the link in this article so it goes right to the proper place. THANKS!! ColtsScore 09:42, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
German Wikipedia
[edit]This guy should have an article on the German Wikipedia. Since I don't have an account I can't start one. Would anyone mind to do it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.44.9.220 (talk) 23:27, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

External links
[edit]- There are ten entries in the "External links". Three seems to be an acceptable number and of course, everyone has their favorite to add for four. The problem is that none is needed for article promotion.
- ELpoints #3) states:
Links in the "External links" section should be kept to a minimum. A lack of external links or a small number of external links is not a reason to add external links.
- LINKFARM states:
There is nothing wrong with adding one or more useful content-relevant links to the external links section of an article; however, excessive lists can dwarf articles and detract from the purpose of Wikipedia. On articles about topics with many fansites, for example, including a link to one major fansite may be appropriate.
- WP:ELMIN:
Minimize the number of links
. - WP:ELCITE:
access dates are not appropriate in the external links section. Do not use {{cite web}} or other citation templates in the External links section. Citation templates are permitted in the Further reading section.
