Not all trigonal planar atoms have 120 deg bond angles: polar molocules have altered angles. Also, trigonal planar geomotries often denote sp2 atomic orbital hybridization.
Having said that...
[edit]All the bond/geometry rules have exceptions. Perhaps this should be accounted for in the article.
- Why do you not participate in writing and extending the article!. You appear to have an expert opinion that Wiki can use. I agree the existence of several exceptions should not mean that you can no longer say that in general these bond angles occur. V8rik 21:17, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified 2 external links on Trigonal planar molecular geometry. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive http://arquivo.pt/wayback/20160523113736/http://www.iumsc.indiana.edu/ to http://www.iumsc.indiana.edu/
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/web/20080120023822/http://chemlab.truman.edu/CHEM121Labs/MolecularModeling1.htm to http://chemlab.truman.edu/CHEM121Labs/MolecularModeling1.htm
When you have finished reviewing my changes, you may follow the instructions on the template below to fix any issues with the URLs.
