- Delete. Sounds like something out of a James Bond flick. The vast technical expertise and prohibitive cost of launching a rocket into space and then to somehow snag a satellite while there and then to lob it off course to come crashing into the earth is fantastical. --Vortexfugue 23:43, 31 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Terrorists steering orbiting objects into cities. I can't find any evidence that the term or the concept is actually in use--1 google hit. [[User:Meelar|Meelar (talk)]] 18:03, Oct 29, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete: Perhaps some science fiction writer has used it, but it's very clearly not a widespread or notable term yet. Also, of course, it should refer to terrorizing stars. Perhaps make it a redirect to stalker? :-) Geogre 19:03, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. I have taken the planet Uranus hostage. And unless I am paid ONE MILLION dollars, I will blow it up! Smerdis of Tlön 19:43, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. This came up in conversation about the X-Prize the other day as a legitimate possibility. Just because there have not yet been any such incidents doesn't mean it's not worthy. There's a nuclear terrorism page even though (arguably) there have been no such incidents. I do see Geogre's point about the name itself though. Perhaps it just needs to be renamed? - I doubt this would ever appear except in a James Bond movie. Why would someone capable of rerouting satellite orbits have to resort to terrorism in order to get what they want? A single, off-hand mention in the main terrorism article should be more than sufficient. Delete. Lacrimosus 21:31, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Delete unless identified as fiction and source is given. Gazpacho 23:50, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. With individuals privately entering space now, people will soon be able to easily steer asteriods into earth. Possible destruction of our civilization I think is notible. Try searching for other terms, perhaps 'astroterrorism' has a more known term. --ShaunMacPherson 22:13, 31 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Delete. Neologism, speculation. — Gwalla | Talk 23:35, 31 Oct 2004 (UTC)
