pH indicators
[edit]Hi Paiconos, and welcome to Wikipedia.
Thanks for the heads-up on those two indicator articles; I've checked them against my CRC handbook and fixed the problems. Good catch!

Sulfates
[edit]I'll answer your second question first. To add a link to a category without adding the article to the category, put a colon immediately after the opening double-bracket in the wikilink. So [[:Category:Sulfates]]
creates a link to Category:Sulfates, without adding your User Talk page to the category.
The first question...I don't know why those fluorides are showing up in the sulfates category. I'll post a note on the Wikipedia:help desk to see if anyone else has come across this bug. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 00:37, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
- Ah...turns out that Template:inorganic-compound-stub was, for a while, erroneously part of Category:Sulfates. Any article that was last edited while the template was broken would have been added to the sulfates category. Rick Block and Dmcdevit were very helpful in clearing it up. (See Wikipedia:Help_desk#Weird_category_behaviour). I've run through and fixed the articles in question. (You just have to make a null edit–click edit, then save the article without making any changes–to update and correct the categorization.) TenOfAllTrades(talk) 01:29, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
