Talk:Geschichtsaufarbeitung

I'm not very content and I can't really say why. I would like to delete or change that part glasnost and perestroika because I don't think you can it compare - I think the processus of Geschichtsaufarbeitung was a result of Gorbachevs reforms. And I want to ask a question to native English-Speakers: "social policy used in post-unification Germany" means it that it is an offical policy of the government? - Is it the case I'm not sure if thats realy true. I think it was (with other results) a continueing problem in german history since World War II in both German States.

Proposal to merge

The reference to "Vergangenheitsbewältigung" as "Germany's other idea" is inexplicable. Surely these are synonymous. And Vergangenheitsbewältigung is the more common word nowadays. I would propose merging this article into Vergangenheitsbewältigung. --Doric Loon 20:27, 10 May 2005 (UTC)
