Merge proposal
[edit]This entry is basically an alternative statement of things that are already on the wiki. See subclasses and superclasses or inheritance in object-oriented programming.
Perhaps this page should be deleted and redirected to one of those? (But which one?) I feel there should be an entry for subclass (computer science) that explains what it means, but if you want to kill this page off to clean up the wiki, please do! - This page should just be deleted and redirected. The two pages Quagmire mentions both deal with this area sufficiently, and the example given about cats is in fact the exact opposite of reality. (if cats are specified as having tails, then an animal without a tail is not a subclass in the OO sense.) There's probably no point improving this page, since the topic is already dealt with elsewhere

- I think Inheritance (object-oriented programming) is an appropriate merge target. --Pnm (talk) 00:51, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
