removed stub. lickey is so small i don't think you could write any more about it!!
Just wonderng if anyone has any info on The Monument? It's an absolutely huge obelisk (60-80ft approx?) situated behind the trees bordering the old birmingham road directly opposite the petrol station in Lickey. Even though I have lived in the vilage all my life I don't really know what its there for, though what I can remember of the inscription reads "to commend to imitation the exemplary private virtues of Other Archer 6th Earl of Plymouth". Like I say its a pretty huge thing and I don't know what an Earl of Plymouth has to do with Lickey. Cheers!
- Thank you for this information. I have added it to the article with a link to Other Windsor, 6th Earl of Plymouth. Biscuittin (talk) 22:57, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
it is not clear why the tone tag has been added. can anyone explain? i see no examples or doublespeak or argot? Leonig Mig (talk) 23:34, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Changed the description of the picture as the old school house was redeveloped a couple of years ago and the scouts were chucked out. Its now offices. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.188.51.2 (talk) 15:13, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Clean up
[edit]If there was a tone tag on this article, I would be inclined to keep it. However, there are multiple issues so I've addded a genereic 'clean up' tag. The tone is probably not intentionally too familiar but needs a formal touch for an encyclopedia, and:
- Rerefences are needed
- No mention of the age or notability of the horse trough is provided.
- The statements flagged as 'neutrality' look like the author's own impressions, and need either cutting, rephrasing for neutrality, or referencing.
