User talk:Randyturpin
Hello and welcome. Before you add any more entries on your family and ancestors, please note that Wikipedia is not a genealogical or biographical dictionary. Thanks. —No-One Jones (m) 21:02, 25 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Hey there. Don't be discouraged. We'd love it if you stuck around and helped out here. We do, in fact, want to know about the people who are doing research here. That's why we have user pages. The folks at Votes for Deletion tend to be terse and not always polite, but they're just trying to keep the wiki clean.
We all made mistakes when we first showed up. My first article was embarassingly poorly formatted, and not on an especially important subject. It's not a big deal; it takes everyone a while to figure out how we do things here. Wikipedia is a unique project.
Good luck, Isomorphic 00:16, 26 Oct 2004 (UTC)
