Some notes on sources
[edit]Source of this list is the Allied Ships Engaged page at www.gallipoli-association.org. This list also appears at:
- http://www.gallipolidigger.com/gemiler.htm
Three ships were misspelt; "HMS Abemone", "HMS Foxhouse" and "HMS Heiotrope", and the only place Google finds these spellings are on these three sites. I don't know which is the original.
I don't know how complete or accurate this list is. I have only added three RN ships; the Ben-my-Chree, Canning and M33 monitor. There were other M15 and M29 class monitors involved but I haven't worked out which yet.
I have checked the list from the following sources:
- Official History of Australia in the War of 1914-1918 Vols.I & II
- Gallipoli by Les Carlyon (completed)
- naval-history.net (completed)
- IWM Sea Power at Suvla PDF (completed)
- Images of Gallipoli : photographs from the collection of Ross J. Bastiaan by Peter Andreas Pedersen (completed)
- Gallipoli: A battlefield guide by Phil Taylor & Pam Cupper (completed)
- The ANZACS by Patsy Adam-Smith
- Battles of World War I by Martin Marix Evans
- The Gallipoli Campaign, Conference Proceedings, April 24-25, 2002
- Gallipoli, Alan Moorehead, 1956
- Gallipoli, Jonathon King & Michael Bowers, 2005
This table (will) show the sources in which I've found reference to the ship.

British battlecruisers
[edit]Indefatigable and Indomitable were not present during the 1915 campaign; they only bombarded Turkish fortifications in November 1914.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 02:47, 13 May 2013 (UTC)
