Keep. The article is actually pretty valid, in that there is a recognized constitutional right to choose reasonable medical treatment (and for doctors to provide it to you) free of government interference, and there is also a recognized right to refuse medical treatment (though not to take active steps to end your own life), both as part of a right to bodily integrity. To the extent that the article suggests that these can amount to a positive right to have medical treatment provided to you, it oversteps the law, however. Ironically enough, the only context in which the government itself has to provide medicare care is when you're in prison, where failure to provide it is an Eighth Amendment violation. The article just needs cleanup, some legal clarification, and a better title, but it's not a "completely bogus" start. Postdlf 1:50 25 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Delete. The article title is misleading in two ways. First, as mentioned above, there is no constitutional right to medical treatment. Secondly, the article title is about a right to medical treatment, but the text discusses the right to choose medical treatment -- a different concept entirely. Delete. If the US constitution doesn't grant US citizens the automatic right to medical treatment then the article is misleading. I have always disagreed with the way health services are run in the US but that's opnion not fact. -- Graham :) | Talk 21:49, 25 Apr 2004 (UTC)
