Musicology
[edit]As to your changing the structure of the en:Musicology article to match that of sv:Musikvetenskap, that would depend on your knowledge of English and English speaking musicology. As to your defining "what and what not" musicologists study, I think that for any subject, you will find a musicologist who studies that subject. That and your comments on Talk:Musicology lead me to believe that "Musikvetenskap" has different and more limited connotations than "Musicology" does. Hyacinth 17:57, 9 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- I think your recent message cleared up that misunderstanding. As for describing cross disciplinary subfields of musicology on the page of the other discipline I think you may find some resistance from the contributors to those articles who would argue that music acoustics are more music than physics, or rather that music acoustics have little to do with "real" physics. I would thus suggest creating a link to a Music acoustics article on both acoustics and musicology and begin writing the music acoustics article. You may have noticed the standard format of mentioning or succinctly describing subtopics on their main articles and saving most information for the subtopics own article, with ''Main article: [[Subtopic]].'' often being placed at the top of a header section if one is used. Musical composition
[edit]I fixed the page. To fix page blanking or vandalism in the future, click on the "history" tab, choose the last good version by time and date, click the "edit this page" tab, fill in the edit sumary at the bottom with a description of your edit, and then click the "save page" button. This is easier for admins, however, because they have access to a rollback feature. --Viriditas | Talk 12:24, 19 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Blondel. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Blondel~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
