"Undeniable" popularity

[edit]

"At the Drive-In’s popularity at this point was undeniable, with headlining shows in the Midwest drawing between 100 to 350 fans.[2]"

While it may be undeniable that the band was gaining popularity, that is not the same as being undeniably popular. The Beatles were undeniably popular. At The Drive-In's popularity is, in fact, deniable, since it was never that large. 350 fans isn't a lot. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.102.241.91 (talk) 13:08, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

So...

[edit]

Is there any reason for the following?:

  1. The return of "emo" to the Categories and Genres.
  2. Using Last.fm's wiki, based usually on Wikipedia, as a source... --190.157.238.69 (talk) 03:31, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Emo

[edit]

Someone added "emo" to the description of every ATDI album. I removed it. Despite some similarities to the early "emo" bands of the 80's, ATDI is clearly not "emo". Their lyrics are not "emo", they never were the part of the scene. They could be an inspiration for some emo bands but that's it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.93.97.180 (talk) 04:36, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WTF is this emo shit? At The Drive In weren't emo! --viriatus (talk) 20:48, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've been removing them cos they're unsourced and undiscussed --186.87.18.30 (talk) 06:23, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There seems to be a misunderstanding about the word "emo" emo is simply emotive or emotive-hardcore. Meaning that anything that is hardcore or post-hardcore with that much passion still counts as emo. The band should at the very least be tagged as emo-core, post-hardcore or punk. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:CF87:9800:4D0D:8A45:3FDD:5FF (talk) 22:47, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Punk?

[edit]

Post-Hardcore yes, punk no. Whoever added Punk to them should be looking up some songs of them and listen to them. Definitely not punk. --83.99.93.203 (talk) 21:19, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Whoever listed Punk as one of the bands influencing genres has obviously heard their early EP's. There are musical elements on those EP's that are very similar to early Blink 182 (A Punk Rock band of roughly the same era) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Simdude1990 (talkcontribs) 12:19, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

First Concert 'Early years'

[edit]

The first show is linked to Loretto High School in California. I think this is unlikely. Perhaps the link should refer to Loretto Academy (El Paso, Texas) instead --TigerPaw2154 (talk) 22:37, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Years Active

[edit]

Should 2012 have a hyphen next to it? As far as I know the band is only playing Coachella possibly a reunion tour.

Invalid Litter Department

[edit]

I own a copy of this single with a radio-edit of the song as one of the B-sides, is there any reason why this release has not been included on the page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Simdude1990 (talkcontribs) 12:27, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
