Improvement!
I have now finished editing the article. Looks alright in my opinion. - Random Wikipedia Viewer (aka anon, I guess) (2/8/06)
not just pitures, this article needs lots of work, it is a stub, needs more info
- just because people where angry at this game, and the game is diffcult, doens't mean, this aritcle should be abandoned >x<ino 17:26, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
you should also add that its's pc version had, along with sonic adventure dx, had two disks
What happened?!
What the hell? I work all that time inputting INFORMATION and it gets all shoved off to Wikibooks (sloppily too, might I add)? Information is information. I understand the entry is not ment to be a strategy guide, and that's why I actually held off inputting even more information than I did. You might as well go through and edit hundreds of Wiki Articles that contain similiar information. Just in the Sonic Series alone, Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic Adventure 2 and Shadow the Hedgehog provide a listing of stages with basic goals.
Formally requesting a revert. BlazeHedgehog 00:31, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
all i have to say is "lol" dont worry, we will revert it:P >x<ino 13:32, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
Don't wipe it, revise it. Reverted to before wipe, added good information added after the wipe and removed a little section that was not encyclopedic. We could use a rewrite on the section talking about the levels, as we don't need to talk about mission objectives, but descriptions of the stages would be great. MysticEsper 03:48, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
Revision
What do you think of the changes I have instituted? Good, bad, other?Guardian of Light 21:55, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for the editing:P. But the Article is still poor, everything focuses on the Stages/Level >x<ino 09:31, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
What should be next then? Personally I think all the level stuff is unecessary (sorry to whoever put all the time in for that, I know that can be aggrivating). I think this article would be more forthcoming among the Sonic articles if we worked to relate it to the Sonic Universe as a whole rather than an isolated title-- i.e. putting levels in the article. Thoughts? Opnions?Guardian of Light 17:26, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
ha Thanks Alot
Well, looks like this article has been cleaned up(not fully, still need alot of informtion)

What's wrong with this article exactly? --anon
- What's wrong!?
Compare this article and other sonic related title games article
- And see the difference, this article is poorly made, it only focuses on the levels/stages.
There are less information on it. But now, since it has been voted for Clean Up, people with higher standard that can work with any article that they are not know of, will imporve it.
- Has you can see, this article is getting better:P
>x<ino 01:51, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
People, Visitors & Wiki Users...As you can see, this article is now better than before!
GREAT WORK!
All we have to do is reverte vandalism and add some little information we can find
Removed again?
I see somebody else just shuffled the list of levels into WikiBooks. :P I still make a case for the fact that the rest of the entries for the Sonic series (and, indeed, most videogames period) list what levels the game has. BlazeHedgehog 08:54, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
I think that the current format of the list of stages is quite adequate. In many video games, it is alright to list the stages. Just because of the nature of this game, however, that is not a wise idea. Because there are 4 teams, there are also 4 parts to each stage. As anyone who reads the WikiBooks page can see, the list of stages alone is more than clearly enough to form its own article. Other games (see the other Sonic games) have brief lists of stages. Even if a short description is given of each stage, the other Sonic games' list of stages come nowhere near to that of this one. I think the brief list in the Wikipedia article and the more detailed description in WikiBooks is a wise move. SuperMoonMan 02:38, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

How do you get to the level with Metal Sonic? I beat all 4 stories, found all the emeralds, but now what?--WitchesBrew82 18:26, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
Sorry I am not sure, There isn't Metal Sonic, only Metal Overlord. If you meant that
- If you go to the Story Select, (you said you have complete all storys)
So either push the analog, directional pad: Down or press Right after the Choatix Story Hope that helps
The Keys
I used to be a Sonic fan, now I am a Code Lyoko fan but I like the Sonic games--Sonic Heroes being my favorite. Anyway, I'm annoyed because we don't have a manual for it and I really have to find out what on Earth the keys do, you know, the ones in the cages that Knuckles can break open. (Stupid keys, may the energy of the Chaos Emeralds teach you a lesson.) --Gravity Control, ultimate Code Lyoko fanatic!!!
The keys, make you access the bonus stage, where you collect bubbles, similar to SOnic 3d and SOnic 2
They also give you the Chaos Emeralds.--Totally not logged in
Okay then. How many keys per level? --Gravity Control
I dunno, havn't played it in a long time, I think for each stage:P
Well, would someone tell me? I don't know this stuff. I have seen 48 episodes of Code Lyoko and only three of Sonic X. How the Carthage am I supposed to figure out the number of keys per level all by myself when I thought the other day there were eight Emeralds?!! --Gravity Control
Ok listen, the best thing to do is collect a key for each stage
- If you go to Stage Level, instead of actually playing the storyline, if you look clearir, you will see on a stage, there is a image of a diamond, which means it hasn't been collect
And when it has been collected, the diamond can bee seen cleary, the emeralds goes like this, Level 1: emerald, Level 2: extra life, Level 3: Emerald, Level 4: extra life, Level 5: Emerlad
Oh. Alright, that'll work. (But try to work on your spelling and grammer.) --Gravity Control
What are you talking about
Never mind... --Gravity Control
Quotes
Do we really, actually, seriously need sections for quotes? I can see it from a movie, where dialogue is often a centerpiece, but this is a videogame, and Sonic Heroes at that (which seriously de-emphasized plot compared to previous games in the series). The dialogue generally involves telling you how to play the game, or stating the bleedingly obvious rather than anything worth quoting (Good examples are what's listed for the quotes now). I mean, years down the line, are people actually going to be saying, "Man, remember when Tails said, 'hey look, it's sonic!' Good times, man. Good times. Although nothing tops, 'ah, there are two rocks now!'" I don't think it belongs. Who's with me? Besides, isn't there... Wikiquotes? Or whatever? BlazeHedgehog 06:04, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
Team Metal Sonic ?
I keep hearing that there is a secret team in the game known as Team Metal Sonic: Speed-Metal Sonic Flying-Eggman Power-Chaos. As the rumors get bigger its easy to believe that this hidden team is in the game. I was wondoring are the rumors true?
If they are true...or what so called rumour
How come in cheats, that Team Metal isn't listed!?
Maybe it might be for SOnic Riders
- The game has been out long enough on the PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, and PC, that if such a ludicrious thing existed, it would've been known a long, long time ago. I can say absolutely, it is 100% fake. BlazeHedgehog 05:58, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
Or! If you get grade A in all stages/level you might unlock Team Metal or collect all emebelds
I've already done that. Trust me on this. I've gotten all A ranks in every stage/level and collected all the 7 emeralds and all 121 emblems AND beat Super Rank 10 times!
- Seriously, you guys. People have gone through every texture, every model, and every line of data in the game already when the PC version was released. That's how I know they don't exist. If "Team Metal" really existed as a secret, it would have been found a year ago or more. BlazeHedgehog 03:17, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
I say that if it's a rumor, then it doesn't belong in a encylopedia article. Only varifiable facts should be posted there. Leave rumors to the web-blogs and cheat sites, and of course disscussion boards :) 72.235.129.253 09:22, 23 October 2006 (UTC)Hoku

Critics
This critic as just been added!
Another complaint is the lack of variation. Many fans said "It sucks that you just do the same levels in the same order with a few changes every time". This could of particularly improved in the sense that Team Dark's first cut-sense is in Eggman's base, yet their first level is Seaside Hill. This also a contridiction as to how the plot makes no real sense; such as why Froggy was kidnapped in the first place. Also the Chao that cream rescues appears nowhere else at all
First, it isn't written correclty. Second, it does have some good points, useful notes and facts!...But this part "It sucks that you just do the same levels in the same order with a few changes every time"."The word "you" needs to be changed! And that sentence is as no need to be there! Because a lot of games are like that!
So I am thinking if this note should stay and be corrected. or just deleted?
Reverted Edits
All reverted edits will go in here, edits that we don't aggree it.
Some people say that Froggy was in all likelyhood taken by Metal Sonic because his DNA had merged with Chaos in past Sonic games. Metal Sonic probably needed Froggy and Chocola Chao to gain the ability to liquify himself, as Chao are decendants of Chaos, and during the storyline of Sonic Adventure, Froggy found Chaos missing tail.
First point:
- Chao are completely different from Chaos, Chaos is a god, a liquidable creature. It is made of a special water and can interact with water. Whilst Choa, are just little happpy and helpless creatures. We don't know the propose of Chao and their own purpose or aim. Lets just say, they inact with the emeralds.
- Second, Froggy didn't merge is DNA with Chaos. Froggy was swallowed by Chaos. Like I said before, Chaos can turn himself to anyshape and even interact with water/liquid. So when Froggy was inside Chaos, Chaos used the image shape of Froggies shape to luiquify is body to also have a tail.
- Even if Metal Sonic captured Chao, he didn't need them to liquify himself! Because Chao's are not Chaos like and, we have never seen them turn to water ror liquid like!
- It even says that Froggy and Chocola are missing but not by Metal Sonic capturing them! (making stuff up!(
- And how da hell did Froggy found Chaos's missing tail!?
- While Doctor Eggman was building Metal Sonic, he upgraded some parts of its system. For example, upgrade for it to be able to turn to liquid metal form.
Dunno if this wasn't edited some 5 years ago, but meh.
- Chaos is a mutated Chao, an effect of proximity with the Master Emerald. This is actually confirmed by its profile in Sonic Channel.
- Of course not. Chaos merged his with Froggy. What I mean is, Froggy swallowed soem Chaos, and got mutated. Chaos de-mutated him. But, for the story to make some sense, we'll say he got some traces of Chaos left.
- Chao have Chaos' DNA, they are needed. Not for the 1337 morph powers, but to transform into that unstoppable robot.
- I'll admit it's an error.
- Check 2 above.
--Kami Mauro 17:10, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Chaos didnt "demutate" Froggy seeing as he still has a tail. Froggy found the missing tail by swallowing a chaos emerald. In sonic adventure since froggy swallowed the emerald he gained chaos's tail and chaos needed froggy to get his tail. And chao do have something to do with the chaos emeralds but we'll probably never findout unless Sonic team chooses to tell us. I dont beleive he needed froggy or a chao to liquify himself but he probably needed the chao to get the chaos energy from froggy.(When you think about it metal madness and overlord kinda look like a metal perfect chaos) And if you look at the paper is shows a hedgehog running away with froggy and chocola. Since sonic nor shadow had them and they emerged from the liquid eggman/metalsonic I think its safe to assume metal sonic was out to copy chaos's DNA. Also he says at one point all life form data succesfuly copied so he may have also copied the rest of the gangs DNA. Fwooshlewooshle (talk)
User Opionion
you should also add that its's pc version had, along with sonic adventure dx, had two disks. "84.71.79.135"
What do you mean!? Please give me more details:P
- I also have Sonic Heroes PC and it has two CDs. Unlike Sonic Adventure DX, the PC edition of Sonic Heroes only requires one of them in the drive to play. (the second, I think.)
- Since I know you'll want more proof than my word, I'll give you some evidence. I don't have access to a digital camera at the moment and I haven't been able to find a place online that says it is a "2CD set", but if you look under hard disk space requirements this IGN page, you can see that all that information could not fit on just one CD. Also, this page lists the amount of CDs required for some games, with Sonic Heroes being one of them. --DavidHOzAu 03:38, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- As "84.71.79.135" stated: "Like its predecessor, Sonic Adventure DX, the PC edition of Sonic Heroes PC was on two CDs.[1] However, Sonic Heroes only requires one of the disks to be in the CDROM drive for it start instead of checking that the player has both." Or something like that, something is wrong with my grammar, but I'm sure you understand the points we are driving at:
- Sonic Heroes came as a two-CD set for the PC
- Sonic Heroes only checks that you have one of the disks before it runs.
- And like "84.71.79.135", I too think that this should be added to the article. --DavidHOzAu 00:26, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh I get you
NO! we still don't need it, the same applies for other PC games. I have 3 cd of Enter the Matrix, but disc 1 plays.
In PC Games, no matter how many cd's a game contains. The first cd will always have the main data for the game to run, the rest of the cd will contain, textures, music and sound files.
So...we really don't need it, if we do. Then we will have to state in every PC Games article that cd 1 works.
Anyway, we don't need that, what we need is: System Requirments for the computer. I guest it isn't in the Requiremnt box nor a Section/Sub Section. So suggest you, 84.71.79.135 or me should put the requirement computer system specs.
Also we need this for Sonic Adventure DX.
Super Tails and Super Knuckles
They do not make an appearance in the game, for all we know and can tell from what we see, Sonic created those "barriers" around them to allow them to stay with him during the final battle, as they cannot fly (at least Tails can't stay in the air indefinitly). That "proof" of their existence in the filenames "st" and "sk" are irrelevant, as they needed to add a different filename to distinguish Tails and Knuckles with and without the barriers, as they aren't a seperate entitie but are one with Tails and Knuckles. And also Tails can only turn Super (possibly) with the Super Emeralds, even if some don't consider that canon.Czin 03:00, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Oh and by the way 81.193.244.66 deleting other people's posts doesn't help your "cause"Czin 21:03, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- You're calling filenames irrevelevant? How very rude. We've already been through this before...there are plenty of other filenames that could have been easily used, but Super was used because that's what they are. Perhaps not in the fan's ideal apperance, but in name and ability. Oh, you can also say that about Sonic. You see, all three have the same identifier...if you say it for one, you say it for all. I find it silly that it's said that a character can have all of the powers of a super form and not be one. XD It if looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then what do we have?
- Now the problem I've been running into is the team name. It's Team Super. There also files in the game proving this as well, added to the fact that all the other team names are one word.GrandMasterGalvatron 13:57, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
I belive czin is correct, those were barriers, super knuckles is pink, and super tails is bright yellow. it is called "team super" like "team sonic"'s name, named after only one member.--Sonicobbsessed (talk) 02:01, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Nintendo DS version?
I was at EB Games earlier and am certain I saw a promotional box for Sonic Heroes on Nintendo DS. Can anyone confirm this by providing sources with more information? - James Foster 10:20, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

- Well, I'm not lying. Since I can't find anything about it, I suppose I have to accept that I could be mistaken. I'll go back tomorrow and try to get a picture of it, I guess. It was a preorder box, so I don't think they'd be selling it yet. - James Foster 15:25, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- Which is my entire point; that the game would be this close to being released for sale with no announcement that it was being ported to the DS at all. Reception/Reviews
The Reception and Reveiews sections seem to contradict each other. The reception section makes it seem as if reviews were overwhelmingly positive, but Metacritic shows that most reviewers gave the game only fair or good scores, which the reviews section reflects. Reception does seem to be written like an ad, even though it is sourced. Suggestions? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.108.234.114 (talk) 18:48, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
The reason, the reception said the reviews were positive is because critics actually like this 3D sonic game better than the previous or newer 3D ones. I recall most of the reviews stating that the experience was better than the Sonic Adventure games.........even though Sonic fans consider the Sonic Adventure games to be the best of the 3D sonic franchise.--S200048 (talk) 23:04, 5 January 2008 (UTC)s200048

Are We Sure it isn't Related to Sonic Adventure
There are way too many story elements that say the contrary. The article says that the creator didn't want it to be a continuation of the Sonic Adventure games so more people would buy it. I'm guessing in the end they just didn't use the title Sonic Adventure and kept it in line with the other games. Here are the indicators that it is a sequel.
A) It had Shadow and Rouge, introduced in Sonic Adventure 2
B) The characters new each other, like how the heroes knew Shadow and Rouge
C) Everyone thought Shadow was dead, like at the end of Sonic Adventure 2
D) If you get an E rank with Team Dark Omega mentions Beta and Gamma from Sonic Adventure 1
E) The same voice cast is used
F) Casinopolis from the Sonic Adventure 1 is referenced by Amy in the casino world —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.27.39.106 (talk) 20:57, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
- Speculation is not sufficient to affect the article; the source is reliable and is a quote from the creator. Note that the only game that has ever been suggested as a continuation of the Adventure series was Sonic Unleashed, and this was stated as such by the developers.
